Emergency Food Relief

What you need to know

The worldwide health crisis has created great challenges for at-risk communities, including the people we serve. Food insecurity weights heavy on the families that struggle to provide even one meal a day for their families. Staggering inflation rate of 15.4% in Kenya on food in October 2022 has doubled prices and many staples are now out of the reach of those earning less than $2 a day.

How we are responding

Because of the economic uncertainty and mounting needs worldwide, we’ve redirected efforts in our funding to serve the immediate needs to the communities we serve — namely access to safe drinking water, food, and supplemental income. We work with pastors throughout Kenya to distribute food and encouraging word of hope to those struggling.

Where you can help

If you want to help feed a family or empower a pastor working in the slums around our school just outside of Mombasa, please donate to the Emergency Relief Fund below. A $125 donation provides several 50 pound food bags to help families without any means of income — and includes your name, family name, or company listed on our "Lifesaver" webpage.

Our web shop on Etsy has also been updated with many products that we need to sell.
